Colophon
“Colophon” comes from the Greek “κολοφων,” meaning ‘a summit,’ ‘top,’ ‘finishing.’ It is a description of the details and methods behind a publication, often found on the last few pages of a book.
Design
The logo was created by Peggy Groves at Peggy Groves Design, and was set in Adobe Garamond Expert Semibold. The website headers and navigation are set in a combination of Lucida Grande and Arial. The body text is set in Verdana.

Technical
We use Adobe Photoshop, Omnigraffle Professional, and TextMate to create this site. It runs on PHP. Content is maintained using MovableType 3. A range of useful plugins are in use, including Multiblog and MTSQL. SmartyPants and Textile 2 are used for text wrangling. The site is authored using structural XHTML, and complies with the 1.0 transitional web standards as set by the W3C.
