Roberto Funes

Roberto Funes, a graduate of The Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy in Chicago, is our Licensed Massage Therapist. He is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). His affiliation with these organizations ensures that you will receive skilled massage in a safe, friendly environment and in alignment with their Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Personal statement

Roberto specializes in Therapeutic Massage using a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Myofacsial Release techniques. He focuses on specific muscles and their attachments using his knowledge of Anatomy and Kinesiology to help determine his approach. He is a strong believer in the positive effect of massage and benefit of massage on improving postural habits and muscular imbalance. He enjoys working in the clinic setting alongside chiropractors, naprapaths, and acupuncturists to help our patients live pain free and happier lives. “Many people have told me that I have a positive, healing energy. I try to use that energy, along with my warm, strong hands, to help free my patients from the shackles of pain and discomfort.” Roberto has been with Gutrich Chiropractic since 2007 and looks forward to a long, prosperous career in the healing arts.
