Personal statement
I have always been interested in medicine and the human body. When trying to decide which path to take in medicine, I fell across a statement that reached out to me:
“Each patient carries his own doctor inside of him. They come to us not knowing that truth. We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to work” - Albert Schweitzer, MD
That’s when I started to look more closely at chiropractic. It was a perfect fit. My goal is to educate my patients so they can take care of themselves, listen to their bodies, and not have to rely on pharmaceuticals. Chiropractors look for the underlying cause of disease, discomfort, and do not simply treat the symptoms.
When you use chemicals or surgical procedures to correct dis-ease, you interfere with the healing functions before you know if your body’s wisdom is adequate to correct the problem. Chiropractors give the body the chance to help heal itself.
I have a vision of helping people through a hands-on approach that uses your own body to help correct dysfunction. My goal is to get my patients functioning properly again. Using chiropractic adjustments, fixing muscle imbalances, exercise and providing nutritional support when needed, many disorders can be fixed naturally and effectively. Using a holistic approach to medicine and overall well-being is what I believe in.
